It started with Cold, Dark, and Silent. There we learned about the county, the people, and a woman missing for over 2 years. You also meet “Chig” Ashe, our protagonist and his friends. CDS has been called a slow burn that heats up fast. I like that. You should know while completely fiction, it is loosely based on two separate cases I worked as a cop years ago.

Next was The Blockade Runners. Through those pages we meet a group of men, many leaders in the small lakeside community. (Much like people in any town. Like people you know where you live.) These men are members of a century old private society dedicated to preserving the art of moonshining. At least symbolically. But in reality they become greedy and then… well, it all starts with a body in the water. This is a fast action-filled thriller I dare you to put down!
Coming next, after the very dramatic cliffhanger at the end of TBR, is The Elite Watch. Ashe has made a huge promise to the woman he still loves, and he is back in the city (“Metro” – also fiction) hunting down the assassin he shot, but did not kill. TEW is about obsession, a promise, and yes, revenge. It’s gritty, inner city, and filled with false leads, betrayal, and “a promise he cannot forget, and an assassin who will not quit.”
